Neale Amplifiers does not have a standard range of guitar amplifiers yet. However, our custom made amps generally fall into a number of standard categories, with the final pricing determined by power, number of channels, cosmetic finish, and options like reverb and tremolo.
We have also taken into account the results of our Desert Island Amps survey, where you have said what you are willing to pay for an amp with your favourite features.
Using this information, we have prepared a set of pricing guidelines that will give you a rough idea of what a custom built Neale Amplifier might cost, subject to your final requirements and selected cosmetic features.
Our prices include the following items as standard features:
ply cabinets, using 1/2" ply for heads and 112 combos; and 3/4" ply for 115 combos and separate cabinets, or we can supply timber finish cabinets for an additional cost.
locally available vinyls with a choice of colours and finishes, or we can import the standard brand name tolex for an additional cost.
cabinets are individually made, so we can make pretty much any style you like (our price guidelines assume a standard cabinet design, but we can accommodate special requirements).
grill cloth with your choice of colour. We haven't been able to find an Australian grill cloth manufacturer yet, so all of the grill cloths are imported.
a laser etched control panel with a choice of graphics and colours, where you get to approve the design and layout.
an 1.8mm aluminium chassis, laser cut and precision bent.
factory wound power and output transformers from a variety of sources.
new valves, or tested-good-emission used valves. Some new-old-stock valves are available, at premium prices (subject to availability).
hand wired circuitry, using either tag strips, turret boards, or through-hole PCBs.
specially selected components and hardware.
a ceramic magnet speaker - we can supply a range of speakers.
imported alnico magnet speakers can be supplied for an additional cost.
